Abstract

O envelhecimento populacional impõe desafios adaptativos às organizações turísticas. Este ensaio teórico analisa como a integração da Ecologia Populacional das Organizações (EPO) e do Marketing de Serviços pode explicar a adaptação e o desempenho das empresas no mercado de turismo sênior. Argumenta-se que as pressões seletivas ambientais (EPO) interagem com as estratégias de adaptação ao cliente (Marketing de Serviços), mas a inércia estrutural (EPO) limita a capacidade de resposta organizacional. O objetivo é oferecer um quadro conceitual que considere simultaneamente as forças ambientais, os constrangimentos internos e as ferramentas de marketing para compreender a dinâmica competitiva e a sobrevivência organizacional neste segmento. Conclui-se que o sucesso exige equilibrar a superação da inércia e o marketing adaptativo, gerando valor ao cliente idoso e sustentando o negócio.
