The study analyzes the resumption of tourist flows in the Iguaçu National Park (Paraná) by comparing the pre-
pandemic (2019) and post-pandemic (2025) periods of Covid-19. The research is descriptive, exploratory, and
quantitative, based on a documentary analysis of secondary data from the Paraná Tourism Observatory
(OBSTUR/PR) extracted from the Destino Foz website. The indicators analyzed via Power BI included year,
origin of visitors (country and state), tourist volume, and visitation months. The results indicate changes in seasonal
trends: peak months (January and July) showed a decline in 2025 compared to 2019, resulting in less demand
fluctuation and greater stability throughout the year. Domestically, Brazil remained the main source market; the
state of São Paulo registered a decrease in visitors, while Paraná grew and expanded its participation, accompanied
by a diversification of other sending states (especially from the North and Northeast regions). Internationally,
Argentina maintained its leadership as the main foreign source market (despite a quantitative decline), while
emerging markets such as Germany, Chile, Colombia, China, and Canada experienced growth. The paper
concludes that while the total volume of visitors remained relatively stable, relevant changes occurred in spatial
redistribution, seasonality, and demand profile, which can guide new management and tourism promotion
strategies for the park.
