Parque Natural Municipal do Gericinó: uma análise preliminar da percepção dos visitantes

Abstract

Este artigo é resultado de uma das ações empreendidas pelo Observatório de Turismo
e Lazer da Região Turística Baixada Verde, grupo de pesquisa, ensino e extensão vinculado à
Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), no ano de 2024, para subsidiar a
tomada de decisão em políticas públicas nos municípios da região turística Baixada Verde.
Criado em 2008, o Parque Natural Municipal do Gericinó (PNMG) está localizado na
área urbana do município de Nilópolis, Rio de Janeiro, e faz parte da Área de Proteção
Ambiental (APA) Gericinó-Mendanha. Situado na Baixada Fluminense - região de conflitos
territoriais e desigualdade socioeconômica, o município enfrenta desafios referentes à
infraestrutura urbana, segurança e áreas de lazer gratuitas para a população.
